BALANCE can answer many of your questions – from how long an item stays on your credit report to more complex issues, such as debt elimination and creating a Debt Management Plan. In addition, I would like to take this time to provide you with an update on the financial well-being of San Francisco Federal Credit Union. In closing, San Francisco FCU is still a safe place to store your funds. Your funds continue to be insured to at least $250,000 by the NCUA’s National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund (NCUSIF), which is backed by the full faith and credit of the U.S. government. If a savings account exceeds the amount covered by the basic insurance limits, NCUA coverage can be extended by establishing different types of accounts or additional beneficiaries.
